About the Role
We're looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Associate Accountant to join our team and support multiple U.S.-based client accounts. This is hands-on accounting work — bank recs, A/P, A/R, month-end close support, and daily QBO execution. You'll work closely with our Controllers and client leads, and over time you'll take on greater ownership as you grow into the role.

What You'll Do

- Support 3-6 U.S.-based client accounts with day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations
- Perform bank reconciliations, manage bank feeds, and handle A/P and A/R processes in QuickBooks Online
- Assist with month-end close activities, owning defined sections of the process
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready financial records across all assigned clients
- Communicate clearly and proactively with internal team members via Slack
- Use Double for task management and time tracking across client engagements
- Contribute to a team that is actively building AI and automation into accounting workflows





What We're Looking For

- Chartered Accountant (CA) designation required — or equivalent professional accounting credential
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a multi-client or outsourced accounting environment
- Multi-client experience is non-negotiable — you must have managed multiple separate external client engagements simultaneously, not just high volume within one company
- QuickBooks Online proficiency required — daily hands-on use, not course-level familiarity
- C1 English proficiency (written and spoken) — you'll be communicating with U.S. clients and teams daily
- Strong understanding of U.S. accounting practices and standards
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
- Availability to work U.S. business hours (overlap required, full U.S. hours strongly preferred)
- Comfortable with Slack as a primary communication tool — proactive, transparent, and timely in your responses

Nice to Have

- Experience with Double, Bill.com, or Ramp
- Familiarity with AI tools in an accounting context (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude)
- Experience in a fractional or advisory accounting firm
- Knowledge of U.S. tax concepts including 1099 processing

Compensation and Details

- Full-time contractor role — flexible schedule with U.S. hours overlap required
- 100% remote — India-based candidates only for this role
- Growth path to Senior Associate as you build client ownership and technical depth

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
