Corporate Credit Analyst

Job Responsibilities
Corporate Financial Analysis:
Analyse corporate balance sheets, profit & loss statements, cash flow statements, financial ratios, annual reports, and projected financial statements to assess the financial strength and repayment capacity of borrowers.
Corporate Credit Assessment:
Evaluate credit proposals for various corporate lending products, including working capital facilities, term loans, business loans, project finance, secured lending, and other corporate credit facilities.
Credit Risk Evaluation:
Assess the borrower's credit history, financial performance, debt obligations, repayment capacity, business model, management quality, industry outlook, and overall creditworthiness.
Working Capital Assessment:
Analyse working capital requirements, operating cycles, inventory, receivables, payables, banking transactions, and fund utilisation to determine appropriate credit limits.
Cash Flow & Debt Servicing Analysis:
Evaluate projected cash flows, DSCR, interest coverage, leverage, repayment schedules, and other financial indicators to determine the borrower's ability to service debt.
Collateral & Security Evaluation:
Review the quality and adequacy of collateral, securities, guarantees, and other risk-mitigation measures associated with the proposed credit facility.
Credit Appraisal & Recommendations:
Prepare detailed credit appraisal notes, credit assessment reports, and summary memos with clear recommendations for approval committees and senior management.
Financial Modelling:
Prepare and review financial models, projections, sensitivity analysis, and stress scenarios to assess the potential impact of changes in revenue, margins, interest rates, working capital, and other business conditions.
Industry & Business Analysis:
Evaluate the borrower's industry, market position, competitive workplace, business risks, customer concentration, supplier dependency, and other external factors that may affect repayment capacity.
Portfolio Monitoring:
Monitor existing corporate loan accounts, repayment behaviour, financial performance, covenant compliance, credit exposure, asset quality, and early warning signals.
Risk Identification & Mitigation:
Identify potential credit risks and recommend appropriate risk-mitigation measures, including suitable security, covenants, guarantees, limits, repayment structures, and monitoring requirements.
Regulatory & Policy Compliance:
Ensure credit assessments and lending decisions are aligned with the company's internal credit policies, risk framework, lending guidelines, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Coordination:
Coordinate with Sales, Relationship Managers, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Collections,
and other relevant teams to ensure efficient processing and monitoring of corporate credit facilities.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of corporate credit analysis and lending processes.
- Strong financial statement analysis and interpretation skills.
- Good understanding of corporate loans, working capital facilities, term loans, and other business lending products.
- Ability to analyse cash flows and assess debt-servicing capacity.
- Strong knowledge of financial ratios, including DSCR, Debt/Equity, Interest Coverage Ratio, Current Ratio, and other credit metrics.
- Good understanding of collateral, securities, guarantees, and credit risk mitigation.
- Strong MS Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify financial and business risks.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong decision-making and risk-assessment skills.
