About the Role

INFOCUS IT Solutions is seeking an experienced DPDPA Compliance & Privacy Officer to lead data privacy, governance, and regulatory compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, hands-on experience in privacy law compliance, data protection frameworks, policy management, and regulatory advisory with a focus on the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023.

Key Responsibilities

Lead implementation and compliance of DPDPA and other applicable data protection regulations.

Draft, review, and maintain privacy policies, consent notices, data processing agreements, and related legal documents.

Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIA) and data protection risk assessments.

Advise business and technology teams on privacy-by-design and data governance requirements.

Monitor compliance with data protection obligations and recommend corrective actions.

Manage data subject rights requests, consent management, and grievance handling processes.

Support audits, assessments, and regulatory inspections related to data privacy.

Review third-party/vendor agreements from a privacy and compliance perspective.

Develop and conduct privacy awareness and training programs.

Track regulatory changes and provide legal guidance on emerging privacy requirements.

Required Qualifications

LLB degree (Mandatory).





Minimum 6 years of experience in Legal Compliance, Data Privacy, Data Protection, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), or Regulatory Advisory.

Strong understanding of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023.

Experience in drafting and reviewing legal agreements, privacy notices, and compliance documentation.

Knowledge of privacy frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices.

Excellent legal research, analytical, and documentation skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in IT, Cyber Security, Consulting, Banking, FinTech, or Government sectors.

Knowledge of international privacy regulations such as GDPR, ISO 27701, and privacy governance frameworks.

Exposure to compliance audits, risk assessments, and regulatory advisory services.
