Site Engineer – ELV & Fire Fighting Systems

Role Purpose

To execute and supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of ELV and firefighting systems at project sites. The role will focus on ensuring installation quality, project timelines, technical specifications, safety, and coordination with project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute and supervise installation of ELV systems, including:
- CCTV
- Access Control
- Public Address (PA)
- Structured Cabling
- Intercom
- BMS interfaces
- Install and configure Fire Alarm Systems, including addressable panels, detectors, sounders, modules, and related devices.
- Supervise installation of firefighting systems such as:
- Sprinklers
- Hydrants
- Hose Reels
- Fire Pumps
- Gas Suppression
- Firefighting Pipework
- Read and interpret shop drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams, and P&IDs;.
- Coordinate with MEP, civil, electrical, and other project teams to resolve site clashes and technical issues.
- Supervise subcontractors, technicians, and site manpower.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate material deliveries as per project requirements.
- Ensure installation work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Conduct pre-commissioning inspections, testing, and commissioning.
- Perform/coordinate fire alarm loop testing, hydrostatic tests,



pump performance tests, and other applicable system testing.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports and site documentation.
- Prepare material approval requests, inspection requests, measurement records, and documents required for billing.
- Coordinate preparation of as-built drawings and final handover documents.
- Identify and resolve site-level technical and execution issues.
- Ensure proper installation quality and compliance with project specifications.
- Enforce site safety practices and ensure technicians/subcontractors follow safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager / Site In-charge regarding progress, manpower, materials, technical issues, and project completion.

Required Experience

- 2–5 years of site/project experience in ELV and/or firefighting systems.
- Hands-on experience in installation, testing, commissioning, and site supervision.
- Experience coordinating technicians, subcontractors, and project teams.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of ELV and firefighting system installation.
- Ability to read shop drawings, single-line diagrams, layouts, and P&IDs;.
- Knowledge of fire system testing and commissioning procedures.
- AutoCAD knowledge.
- MS Office and project tracking/reporting tools.
- Site coordination and manpower management.
- Problem-solving and technical troubleshooting.
- Positive communication and reporting skills.

Pay: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
