Senior Procurement Engineer

INDSRO Defence & Aerospace Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to manage procurement activities for engineering requirements. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and experience in sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers and ensuring timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Review purchase requisitions, technical specifications, engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to understand procurement requirements.
- Source mechanical, electrical, electronic and other engineering components from suitable suppliers.
- Identify, assess and develop vendors based on quality, pricing, delivery capability and reliability.
- Obtain and compare quotations, prepare cost comparisons, and negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with approved requirements and company procedures.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality and Finance teams to confirm specifications, quantities, approvals and budget requirements.




- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve delays or other supply issues.
- Coordinate with the Quality team on material inspections, documentation, non-conformance issues and supplier corrective actions.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier details, quotations, purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Monitor market trends, material availability and price changes, and recommend cost-effective alternatives where appropriate.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and support the resolution of commercial or delivery-related issues.
- Ensure procurement activities follow internal approval processes, quality requirements and applicable documentation standards.

Candidate Requirements

- 5–6 years of experience in procurement, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing workplace.
- Engineering background.
- Good knowledge of supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation and purchase order management.
- Strong coordination, communication and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
