ROLE

We are looking for a senior skilled to take complete ownership of the Service Department and P&L; of our IP Law Firm.

You will be responsible for managing the complete service lifecycle, leading the service team, ensuring timely client delivery, controlling service costs and building a profitable, scalable IP practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Service Team Management

- Lead and manage the complete Service Team.
- Allocate work, monitor productivity and set individual KPIs.
- Build SOPs, quality-control systems and reporting mechanisms.
- Recruit, train and develop the service team.

2. P&L; Ownership

- Take responsibility for the Service Division's Revenue, Cost, Margin and Profitability.
- Prepare and monitor monthly service P&L.;
- Control unnecessary operational costs.
- Improve service margins and team productivity.
- Work with management to achieve monthly and annual profit targets.

3. IP Service Delivery

Manage and supervise end-to-end delivery of:

- Trademark Filing
- Trademark Examination / Objection
- Trademark Hearing
- Trademark Opposition
- Trademark Rectification
- Trademark Renewal
- Trademark Litigation
- Copyright Registration
- Copyright Litigation
- Patent Filing & Prosecution
- Patent Opposition
- Patent-related documentation and prosecution
- Design Registration
- Design-related proceedings
- Other IPR legal and qualified services

4. Client Management

- Ensure timely completion of client matters.




- Handle escalated and high-value client issues.
- Maintain service quality and client satisfaction.
- Develop systems to reduce complaints, delays and pending work.
- Ensure proper communication between clients, legal professionals and the internal team.

5. Legal Team Coordination

- Coordinate with Advocates, Trademark Attorneys, Patent Attorneys, Associates and external professionals.
- Review work quality and ensure compliance with internal SOPs.
- Ensure matters are properly tracked from filing to final closure.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

- Strong experience in IPR / Trademark / Patent / Copyright / Design practice.
- Experience managing a legal/service team.
- Strong understanding of IP prosecution and litigation workflows.
- Commercial mindset with understanding of P&L; and profitability.
- Ability to build SOPs and scalable service systems.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable taking complete ownership of a business function.

Pay: ₹235,000.00 - ₹2,170,000.00 per year
