Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to drive business growth through Agency Development and Direct Sales. The role involves developing the agency network, recruiting and supporting Insurance Advisors, generating direct business and expanding the customer base in the assigned territory.

Candidates with experience in Health Insurance, Life Insurance or General Insurance sales are preferred.

Key ResponsibilitiesAgency Business Development

- Recruit, onboard and develop Insurance Advisors / Agents.
- Activate and motivate agents to generate regular business.
- Build and expand the agency network in the assigned area.
- Conduct agent meetings, field visits and performance reviews.
- Support agents with product knowledge, sales guidance and customer handling.
- Monitor agent activity and business performance.

Direct Sales

- Generate health insurance business through direct customer acquisition.
- Identify potential customers through field visits, references and leads.
- Conduct customer meetings and understand their insurance requirements.
- Explain suitable health insurance products to customers.
- Assist customers throughout the sales process.
- Develop relationships for repeat and referral business.

Business Development

- Achieve monthly business, premium and recruitment targets.
- Identify new markets and business opportunities.
- Monitor leads, sales activity, premium and recruitment performance.




- Maintain regular MIS and daily activity reports.
- Coordinate with the branch team to achieve business objectives.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, agents and business partners.

Required Skills

- Experience in agency or direct sales.
- Ability to recruit and manage Insurance Advisors / Agents.
- Good negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Eligibility

- Graduate in any discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in Insurance Sales, Agency Sales or Direct Sales.
- Experience in Health Insurance, Life Insurance or General Insurance preferred.
- Experience in agent recruitment and development will be an advantage.
- Existing agent/advisor or customer network will be an added advantage.
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a field-sales environment.
