At The Hook, we’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor who understands the language of social media, has an eye for storytelling, and can turn raw footage into engaging, high-quality content.

If you know how to create trending edits, craft premium corporate videos, and bring visuals to life through motion graphics, we’d love to have you on our team!

Key Responsibilities

- Edit short-form content, including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media videos.
- Create engaging, trend-driven edits with strong hooks, pacing, transitions, sound design, and storytelling.
- Edit corporate videos, brand films, promotional videos, advertisements, and long-form content.
- Work on motion graphics, animated text, kinetic typography, and visual effects.
- Ensure high-quality colour correction, audio synchronisation, and sound mixing.
- Stay updated with the latest editing trends, formats, transitions, and social media content styles.
- Collaborate with the creative and strategy teams to bring concepts and scripts to life.
- Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and incorporate feedback efficiently.

Skills & Requirements

- Proven experience in video editing, preferably with a portfolio of social media and corporate work.




- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve.
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and animation.
- Strong understanding of social media trends, viral editing styles, pacing, and audience retention.
- Good understanding of colour grading, sound design, typography, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to understand brand guidelines and adapt editing styles to different clients.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup and handle multiple projects.

What We’re Looking For

Someone who doesn't just cut clips but understands how to make content engaging, visually compelling, and aligned with the brand's objective.

You should be comfortable switching between fast-paced social media edits and polished, professional corporate content.
