Job Purpose

To provide friendly, efficient, and professional food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience while maintaining the hotel’s service standards, hygiene, and cleanliness requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. Guest Service

- Welcome guests warmly and assist them to their tables.
- Present menus and explain food and beverage options when required.
- Take guest orders accurately and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Check guest satisfaction during the meal.
- Respond politely to guest requests and complaints and inform the supervisor when necessary.
- Thank guests and assist them during departure.

2. Food & Beverage Service

- Follow proper sequence of service as per hotel standards.
- Ensure food and beverages are served at the correct temperature and presentation.
- Check orders before serving to ensure accuracy.
- Serve food according to the correct table and guest.
- Clear used plates, glasses, and cutlery promptly.
- Offer additional food and beverage items when appropriate.
- Ensure all guest requests are attended to without unnecessary delay.

3. Table Setup & Restaurant Readiness

- Set tables with clean and appropriate cutlery, crockery, glassware, napkins, and other required items.
- Ensure tables, chairs, menus, and service stations are clean and properly arranged.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant throughout the shift.
- Refill condiments, napkins,



and other service items as required.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.

4. Order & Billing Coordination

- Enter or communicate guest orders accurately through the POS/order system.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and cashier to ensure smooth order and billing processes.
- Present bills to guests when assigned.
- Verify that the bill corresponds with the guest's order.
- Handle cash or payment only as per hotel policy and authorization.

5. Hygiene & Safety

- Follow all food safety and personal hygiene standards.
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
- Wash and sanitize hands as required.
- Handle food, crockery, and glassware carefully.
- Report any hygiene, safety, equipment, or maintenance issues immediately.

6. Teamwork & Coordination

- Coordinate effectively with the Restaurant Captain, Cashier, Kitchen, Bar, Stewarding, and other departments.
- Support colleagues during busy periods.
- Assist in banquet or special-event service when required.
- Follow instructions given by supervisors and management.

7. Guest Complaints & Service Recovery

- Listen to guest concerns patiently and respectfully.
- Avoid arguments or confrontation with guests.
- Inform the Restaurant Captain or Manager immediately regarding serious complaints.




- Assist in resolving service issues promptly according to hotel procedures.

Qualification

- Minimum Diplamo in Hotel Management or Relavant educational qualificaition / Graudation
- Hotel Management or Food & Beverage Service qualification is preferred.

Experience

0–3 years of relevant experience in a hotel, restaurant, resort, or hospitality establishment. Freshers with good communication and service skills may also be considered.

General Responsibilities

The Restaurant Waiter is expected to maintain professional service, cleanliness, courtesy, discipline, and guest satisfaction at all times and follow all hotel policies, SOPs, hygiene standards, and instructions issued by management.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
