Job Summary

We are looking for a Purchase Engineer with a technical/engineering background to manage sourcing and procurement of mechanical components, machine spares and industrial items for production and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Source gears, shafts, bearings, couplings, chains, sprockets, motors, machine spares, fasteners and engineering components.
- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors/suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate prices.
- Understand technical specifications, drawings, dimensions and material requirements.
- Prepare and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and procurement documentation.




- Follow up with vendors for orders, dispatch and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Stores, Engineering, Quality and Accounts.
- Develop alternate suppliers and support cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production/maintenance delays.

Required Skills

- Technical understanding of mechanical/engineering components.
- Vendor sourcing/Management , negotiation and follow-up.
- Quotation comparison and cost analysis.
- Purchase order management.

Preferred Background

Candidates from Manufacturing, Engineering, Automotive/Auto Components, Machine Manufacturing, Industrial Equipment, Printing Machinery, Fabrication or Industrial Maintenance industries are preferred.

Pay: ₹10,894.10 - ₹37,196.20 per month
