We’re Hiring: Visual Designer

We are looking for a Visual Designer with a strong eye for visual storytelling to bring characters, worlds, and dramatic moments to life across comic pages and game creatives.

You will take story briefs and turn them into finished work: planning scenes, designing characters and worlds, and assembling polished comic pages, key art, and marketing creatives in Photoshop and Illustrator. AI tools help generate the raw assets, but the finished design is yours.

What You Will Do

- Own the page: Create complete comic pages from story briefs: plan the shots, source and generate the assets, then composite, panel, and letter the final page in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Tell the story: Build sequences that read clearly, carry tension across panels, and land emotionally without explanation.
- Plan the scene: Turn story structure into shot plans: panel layouts, framing choices, and pacing beats for maximum impact.
- Design the cast and the world: Develop expressive characters and immersive environments, and keep them visually consistent across every panel and asset.
- Create game and marketing assets: Produce key art, promotional posters, store creatives, social media assets, and in-game graphic assets such as HUD, icons, and overlays for Cricket Brawl, our cricket game.
- Use AI where it helps: Generate raw assets and explorations with AI tools, then correct, refine, and elevate the output with a trained artistic eye.
- Collaborate and iterate: Work with game designers and leads, take feedback well, and deliver production-ready layered files on deadline.

Tools & Workflow

Design comes first; AI is a production tool. Generation is welcome for characters, backgrounds, textures, and exploration. Page design, meaning composition, paneling, lettering, colour grading, and final assembly, is done by your hand in Photoshop and Illustrator, delivered as layered files.

- Photoshop and Illustrator are your primary tools; the finish and craft of the final page is on you.
- Comfort with AI image tools (such as Midjourney, Firefly,



or ComfyUI) for generating assets, with techniques for keeping characters and style consistent across a series.
- A trained eye for the output: spotting and repairing bad anatomy, mismatched lighting, and seams before they ship.

What We Are Looking For

- 0 to 3 years of experience in visual design, illustration, comic art, or a related field.
- A portfolio of composited visual work comic pages, sequential storytelling, key art, or posters.
- Strong Photoshop compositing skills masking, blending, repainting, retouching, and colour grading to unify assets into one believable image. Illustrator for typography and layout.
- A solid grasp of composition, cinematic framing, perspective, lighting, colour, and typography.
- Storytelling instincts: knowing what shot each beat needs and how a page should read.
- Ability to keep a character visually consistent across many images and panels.
- Working familiarity with AI image tools as part of a production workflow.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving team.

Important: This is NOT a UI/UX or traditional Graphic Design role.
We are specifically looking for someone who can create comic pages and sequential visual storytelling.

Your portfolio must demonstrate storytelling through multiple panels, character acting, composition, and visual continuity.

If you don't have professional comic experience, personal comic, manga, webtoon, storyboard, sequential art, or illustrated storytelling projects are absolutely welcome.

Art Style

We are looking for work that blends realism and stylization: cinematic lighting, gritty textures, dynamic action, and robust storytelling carried through sequential panels.



If you can make a single page feel like a frame from a film or a game cinematic, you will fit right in.

Portfolio Requirements

Please include the following in your application:

- 3 to 5 comic pages or sequential storytelling samples.
- Character work showcasing expressions and action poses, ideally consistent across multiple images.
- Key art, posters, or promotional artwork, if available.
- For any AI-assisted work: a short note on your process and tools. We care about the craft behind the result, not just the final image.
- A layered .PSD sample of one finished piece is a strong plus.

Bonus Points

- A strong understanding of cricket and a genuine love for the sport. Cricket Brawl lives and breathes cricket, so knowing the game, its tension, and its big moments will directly shape how well you tell these stories. This is a real edge for this role.
- Experience with open source AI models like Qwen and Z-Image in ComfyUI, or similar creative AI pipelines.
- Genuine passion for games, comics, anime, or graphic novels.
- Experience creating marketing posters, key art, and promotional creatives.
- A basic understanding of game art pipelines.
- Personal comic, graphic novel, manga, or webtoon projects you are proud of.
