About the role

TGH Design Studio is a Melbourne-based design studio working across residential, interiors, commercial and hospitality projects. We are looking for an experienced Joinery Drafter with Cabmaster experience to support our growing interiors and documentation work.

This role is suited to someone who is confident in preparing accurate joinery drawings, production details and cabinetry documentation from architectural plans, interior elevations, sketches and design briefs.

You will work closely with the studio to develop detailed joinery drawings for kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, laundries, feature walls, storage units, hospitality counters and other custom cabinetry items.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare accurate joinery drawings using Cabmaster
- Develop cabinetry and custom joinery details from architectural drawings, sketches and design briefs
- Prepare plans, elevations, sections and construction details for client, builder and production use
- Integrate appliances, hardware, clearances and special requirements into joinery drawings
- Interpret architectural plans, interior elevations, specifications and site dimensions
- Prepare cutting lists, material schedules, hardware schedules and CNC-ready information where required
- Coordinate with the design team to ensure drawings align with the intended design and finish
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in dimensions, notation and construction detailing




- Revise drawings based on feedback from the studio, builder or client

About you

- Experience using Cabmaster is essential
- Previous experience in joinery drafting, cabinetry detailing or interior documentation
- Solid understanding of cabinetry construction, hardware, materials and finishes
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and interior elevations
- Good knowledge of kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, laundries and custom joinery
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Reliable, organised and able to meet deadlines
- Comfortable working remotely and communicating clearly with an overseas design studio
- Experience with Australian residential or interior projects will be highly regarded

Software skills

- Cabmaster — required
- AutoCAD / Revit / SketchUp experience will be an advantage
- Ability to prepare clean PDF drawing sets for review and issue

Role type

Remote / Work from India
Part-time, freelance or project-based arrangement initially, with the opportunity for ongoing work based on performance and workload.
