Fashion Design Intern TQH – The Quiet Hours Location: Gandhinagar Job Type: Internship Duration: 3–6 Months Department: Fashion Design & Product Development Industry: Fashion / Apparel / Loungewear / Nightwear About TQH TQH – The Quiet Hours is a women’s nightwear and loungewear brand focused on creating comfortable, feminine and aesthetically refined pieces for modern women. We are looking for a Fashion Design Intern who is creative, detail-oriented and genuinely interested in fashion, apparel and product development. This role will provide hands-on exposure to the complete design process, from trend research and concept development to sampling and product finalisation. Role Overview As a Fashion Design Intern at TQH, you will work closely with the design and product development team to create new styles and collections for our nightwear and loungewear range. You will get practical experience in design research, mood boards, fabric selection, colour development, prints, silhouettes, technical details and sampling. Key Responsibilities 1. Fashion & Trend Research - Research current fashion, nightwear and loungewear trends. - Identify upcoming colours, prints, fabrics, silhouettes and design details. - Study competitor brands and their product offerings. - Research Instagram, Pinterest and other fashion platforms for design inspiration. - Maintain trend and inspiration references for upcoming collections. 2. Design Development - Assist in developing new designs for night suits, pajama sets, lounge sets and other TQH products. - Create mood boards, concept boards and design presentations. - Develop colour palettes and print concepts. - Assist in creating new silhouettes and variations of existing designs. - Suggest design details such as collars, sleeves, pockets, piping, buttons, embroidery and trims. - Adapt fashion trends into designs suitable for TQH's brand aesthetic. 3. Sketching & Design Documentation - Create basic fashion illustrations and garment sketches. - Develop front/back design views where required. - Prepare design sheets for selected styles. - Add relevant garment details, measurements and construction information. - Assist in preparing tech packs and product specifications. 4. Fabric & Material Research - Research and suggest suitable fabrics for nightwear and loungewear. - Assist with fabric sourcing and comparison. - Study fabric properties such as GSM, softness, breathability, drape and comfort. - Assist in selecting suitable buttons, labels, trims,



threads and other accessories. - Maintain fabric and material references. 5. Sampling & Product Development - Assist in coordinating garment samples from concept to final product. - Communicate design requirements to the sampling/production team. - Check samples for colour, fit, construction and finishing. - Identify changes required in samples. - Maintain sample records and design revisions. - Assist with fittings and sample corrections. 6. Collection Development - Assist in planning seasonal and capsule collections. - Help create coordinated colour stories and product ranges. - Ensure designs are consistent with the TQH brand identity. - Assist in developing commercially viable designs while maintaining the brand's aesthetic. 7. Production Support - Coordinate with the production team when required. - Understand basic garment construction and manufacturing processes. - Assist in checking finished products against approved samples. - Help identify quality or design inconsistencies before production. 8. Competitor & Market Analysis - Track new launches from relevant Indian and international fashion/loungewear brands. - Compare silhouettes, fabrics, pricing, colours and product categories. - Prepare basic competitor and market research reports. - Identify potential product opportunities for TQH. 9. Creative & Brand Support - Assist with styling ideas for product shoots. - Help develop creative concepts for new collections. - Suggest product presentation and visual merchandising ideas. - Assist with fashion content and product-related creative requirements when needed. Skills Required - Basic understanding of fashion design and garment construction. - Good knowledge of current fashion trends. - Strong interest in women's fashion, nightwear and loungewear. - Basic fashion illustration/sketching skills. - Understanding of fabrics, trims and garment details. - Creative thinking and good attention to detail. - Good colour sense and understanding of aesthetics. - Ability to research and present design ideas. - Good communication and coordination skills.



- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced startup environment. Software Skills Knowledge of any of the following will be an advantage: - Adobe Illustrator - Adobe Photoshop - CorelDRAW - Canva - CLO 3D or other fashion design software - MS Excel / Google Sheets Freshers and students with basic software knowledge are welcome to apply. Educational Qualification - Pursuing or completed a degree/diploma in: - Fashion Design - Apparel Design - Textile Design - Fashion Technology - Garment Manufacturing - or a related field.
