Science Lab Assistant

Location: Kannuru, Hennur-Bagalur Road, North Bangalore
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM + Alternate Saturdays

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Ensure all three labs are clean, organised, functional and ready for classes, experiments, projects and events.
- Create a lab environment aligned with the ethos and philosophy of the school.
- Work with facilitators to prepare experiments, materials, equipment and setups that enable children to explore, experiment, observe and create.
- Own day-to-day lab safety, including safe handling, storage and disposal of materials/equipment.
- Conduct regular checks and immediately flag hazards or incidents.
- Maintain inventory of equipment, consumables and learning resources.
- Track usage, breakage, repairs and replenishment.
- Ensure resources are available when needed.
- Create and maintain simple, reliable systems for storage, lab usage, preparation, cleaning and documentation across all three labs.
- Help create labs where children can independently explore and care for resources while maintaining appropriate safety boundaries.
- Understand upcoming learning needs,



proactively prepare resources and support facilitators in executing practical learning experiences.
- Coordinate with admin/support teams for procurement, repairs, cleaning and other infrastructure needs.
- Support science projects, exhibitions, showcases, workshops and community learning experiences.
- Identify gaps, anticipate needs, reduce wastage and suggest better ways to use spaces, resources and materials.

What We Look For

- Basic qualification/experience in Science, Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- Hands-on familiarity with laboratory equipment and safety practices.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.

- Empathetic, collaborative and aligned with a child-centric, experiential learning culture.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
