Quality Analyst – Food Safety & Vendor Quality

Location- Bangalore

Role Overview

We are looking for a Quality Analyst – Food Safety & Vendor Quality to manage food safety, product quality and regulatory compliance across our e-commerce vendor and supplier network. The role will work closely with vendors, suppliers, laboratories and internal business teams to ensure products meet defined quality, food safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage food safety and quality assurance for food, grocery and other consumable products across the e-commerce portfolio.
- Evaluate vendor and supplier compliance with FSSAI, food safety, licensing, labeling and product quality requirements.
- Review product specifications, licenses, certificates, laboratory test reports and other quality documentation before product launch.
- Develop and implement risk-based product testing and inspection protocols based on product category and risk profile.
- Coordinate with external laboratories and suppliers for product testing, report validation and timely closure of quality requirements.
- Conduct or coordinate supplier audits, quality inspections and compliance assessments, identifying gaps and driving corrective actions.
- Work with vendors to investigate product quality and food safety issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Monitor recurring defects, customer complaints, returns and quality escalations and work with suppliers to prevent repeat issues.
- Support new product and vendor launches by ensuring quality, testing, regulatory and documentation requirements are completed within defined timelines.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, inspection checklists,



technical specifications and quality guidelines for vendors and internal teams.
- Train and guide vendors and relevant stakeholders on food safety practices, quality standards, inspection requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor supplier quality performance through dashboards and reports and highlight high-risk products, suppliers and compliance gaps.
- Maintain documentation and ensure readiness for internal audits, external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Identify opportunities to improve supplier quality, simplify processes, reduce quality risks and improve overall customer experience.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3–6 years of experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, Vendor Quality or Product Compliance.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology or related fields.
- Strong understanding of FSSAI regulations, food safety, product testing, audits and supplier compliance.
- Experience working with vendors, suppliers, laboratories or manufacturing partners.
- Strong skills in SOP development, risk assessment, root-cause analysis and quality documentation.
- Valuable stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple vendors and quality issues in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Proficiency in MS Excel and quality/compliance tracking systems.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
