Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: M.Sc. Nursing from an INC-recognized institution. (Ph.D. in Nursing is highly desirable).
- Regulatory Registration: Active registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM) with the State Nursing Registration Council.
- Norms Compliance: Qualifications, teaching experience, and administrative eligibility strictly as per Indian Nursing Council (INC) and university norms for the post of Principal.
- Academic Record: Exemplary academic background across undergraduate and postgraduate nursing education with strong administrative credentials.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of total experience after M.Sc. Nursing, including at least 10 to 12 years of teaching and leadership experience in a recognized nursing institution (minimum 5 years as Vice-Principal or Professor).
Key Responsibilities1. Institutional Leadership & Strategic Planning
- Provide overall academic, administrative, and strategic leadership to the nursing institute across all programs (ANM, GNM, B.Sc. Nursing, and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing).
- Formulate and execute institutional growth policies, yearly academic calendars, and departmental development plans in alignment with management goals.
- Maintain complete operational compliance with guidelines from the Indian Nursing Council (INC), State Nursing Registration Council (SNRC), and the affiliated University.
- Spearhead national accreditation processes (e.g., NAAC, NABH) and manage routine regulatory inspections and renewal visits.
2. Academic Administration & Program Quality
- Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of course curricula, master rotations, clinical schedules,
and examination structures across ANM, GNM, B.Sc. N, and P.B.B.Sc. N programs.
- Monitor instructional quality, faculty teaching methodology, bedside training standards, and student learning outcomes across all nursing specialties.
- Conduct regular academic reviews, ensure timely completion of syllabi, and maintain high standards for internal assessments and university examinations.
- Foster an interdisciplinary learning workplace incorporating modern simulation labs, digital educational tools, and updated library resources.
3. Human Resource Management & Staff Development
- Lead the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and workload allocation of teaching faculty (Professors, Associate/Assistant Professors, Tutors) and non-teaching staff.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals, mentor faculty members, and foster a culture of professional ethics, accountability, and academic excellence.
- Encourage and organize Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) programs, workshops, research projects, and faculty development initiatives.
- Address and resolve staff grievances, ensuring a fair, disciplined, and supportive work culture across departments.
4. Clinical Tie-ups & Hospital Coordination
- Establish and maintain formal tie-ups and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs)
with parent and affiliated super-specialty hospitals, clinical training centers, and community health centers (RHTC/UHTC).
- Coordinate with hospital administrators, Nursing Superintendents, and medical officers to secure quality clinical rotation space, shift supervision, and hands-on exposure for students.
- Ensure student compliance with clinical protocols, patient safety regulations, hospital ethics, and infection control procedures during hospital postings.
5. Student Welfare, Discipline & Mentorship
- Maintain general discipline, anti-ragging measures, and student safety across college premises, hostels, and clinical postings.
- Oversee student admission drives, orientation programs, counseling services, and grievance redressal committees.
- Promote student participation in co-curricular activities, state/national level competitions, health awareness drives, and community service programs.
- Engage with parents and guardians regarding academic progress, clinical performance, and behavioral conduct.
6. Financial & Administrative Management
- Prepare and manage the annual college budget, resource allocation, infrastructure upgrades, lab equipment procurement, and library expansion.
- Oversee institutional records, student registration documentation, university affiliation files, and official correspondence with statutory bodies.
- Represent the nursing institute in management meetings, university proceedings, government interactions, and public forums.
Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
