Freelance Researcher – Structural Neuroimaging & Statistical Analyst
Engagement: Freelance / Project-Based
Work Mode: Remote

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Structural Neuroimaging Researcher & Statistical Analyst to perform structural MRI processing, surface-based morphometric analysis, statistical analysis, and generate reproducible, publication-ready results.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and perform quality control (QC) of structural MRI datasets.
- Perform MRI preprocessing and surface-based morphometry using FreeSurfer, CAT12, or equivalent tools.
- Analyze cortical thickness, surface area, cortical volume, and intracranial volume.
- Perform ROI-based and whole-cortex analyses using the Desikan–Killiany atlas or equivalent parcellation.
- Conduct group-level statistical analyses with appropriate covariate adjustment and multiple-comparison correction.
- Calculate effect sizes, confidence intervals, and exact p-values.
- Generate publication-quality statistical tables, cortical maps, and neuroimaging figures.
- Develop and provide reproducible analysis scripts and explicit processing documentation.
- Interpret neuroimaging results and provide concise technical reports.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s or PhD in Neuroscience, Neuroimaging, Biomedical Sciences, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with structural MRI and neuroimaging analysis.
- Proficiency in FreeSurfer, CAT12, or similar validated neuroimaging pipelines.
- Experience working with DICOM/NIfTI structural MRI datasets.
- Strong understanding of surface-based morphometry, cortical reconstruction, and ROI analysis.
- Experience with cortical thickness, surface area, volume, and intracranial volume analysis.
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, including covariate adjustment, FDR/multiple-comparison correction, effect sizes, and 95% confidence intervals.
- Experience generating publication-quality figures and statistical outputs.
- Knowledge of reproducible research practices and scripting/documentation.
Preferred Skills
- Python, R, MATLAB, or similar statistical/programming tools.
- Experience with research publications or academic neuroimaging projects.
- Experience preparing publication-ready neuroimaging results and supporting documentation.
