About the Role

WEFIT INTERIORS, part of WEFIT Group with its head office in Dubai, is hiring a Fit-Out Engineer for our Nagercoil operations. The selected candidate will manage interior project execution, coordinate site teams and subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed within the approved scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct site visits, take measurements, assess existing conditions, and support BOQ preparation.
- Read and interpret architectural, interior, joinery, and MEP drawings; identify discrepancies before execution.
- Prepare work schedules and coordinate civil works, electrical, plumbing, false ceilings, flooring, painting, and joinery installation.
- Supervise workers and subcontractors, allocate daily tasks, and monitor productivity and workmanship.
- Calculate material quantities, raise material requests, and track deliveries, consumption, and wastage.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, estimators, purchase staff, and the Project Coordinator.
- Check site dimensions and readiness before releasing items for production or installation.
- Maintain daily progress reports, site photographs, measurement records, and inspection checklists.
- Communicate promptly with clients,



provide progress updates, and escalate issues requiring approval.
- Record additional work and scope changes, obtain approval before execution, and support variation estimates.
- Enforce site safety, housekeeping, and protection of completed work.
- Prepare snag lists, arrange rectification, and support final inspection and project handover.
- Verify subcontractor measurements and completed quantities for billing.

Requirements

- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Practical experience executing residential or commercial interior fit-out projects.
- Knowledge of construction sequencing, finishing materials, installation methods, and quality checks.
- Ability to prepare BOQs, quantity calculations, and site measurements.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project reporting.
- Strong team coordination, problem-solving, and client communication skills.
- Ability to communicate in Tamil and English.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required. A valid driving licence is preferred.

Salary

Based on experience, technical knowledge, and ability to manage projects independently.
