Position: Planning Engineer – Civil

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹40,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to plan, monitor, and control construction activities for an industrial building project. The candidate will be responsible for preparing project schedules, tracking progress, coordinating with site teams, and ensuring that project activities are completed within the planned time and budget.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed project schedules and work programs for civil construction activities.
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly construction plans.
- Monitor actual project progress against the approved schedule.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QA/QC Engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Track manpower, materials, equipment, and resource requirements.
- Identify project delays and prepare recovery plans.
- Update project schedules based on actual site progress.
- Monitor critical activities and highlight potential delays to management.
- Prepare S-curves, progress charts, productivity reports, and look-ahead schedules.
- Maintain records of planned vs. actual progress.




- Assist in preparing work programs and resource loading.
- Coordinate with procurement and site teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Monitor subcontractor progress and performance.
- Participate in progress review meetings and provide project status updates.
- Support project management in achieving planned completion targets.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- 3–8 years of experience in construction planning, preferably industrial building projects.
- Good knowledge of construction activities and project scheduling.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project / Primavera P6.
- Good knowledge of progress monitoring and reporting.
- Strong analytical and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project.
- Good knowledge of Excel, including formulas, charts, and progress tracking.
- Ability to prepare S-curves and manpower/resource plans.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under project deadlines.
- Valuable understanding of civil construction sequences and site activities.
