Job Description

Berkeley Hyundai is looking for an experienced and results-oriented Body Shop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our automobile body shop. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of vehicle body repair, denting and painting processes, team management, customer handling, and workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the body shop.
- Supervise technicians, denting and painting teams, estimators, and support staff.
- Ensure vehicles are repaired according to company and Hyundai quality standards.
- Monitor job cards, repair estimates, parts requirements, and vehicle delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, surveyors, customers, and internal departments.
- Ensure timely processing of insurance claims and approvals.
- Monitor workshop productivity, repair quality, and turnaround time.
- Conduct quality checks before vehicle delivery.
- Manage customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor manpower utilization, workshop capacity, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper usage and control of spare parts, consumables, and workshop resources.
- Track body-shop revenue, expenses, productivity, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and dealership policies.




- Train and motivate the body-shop team to achieve performance and customer satisfaction targets.

Requirements

- Diploma/Degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 and more years of experience in an automobile body shop, preferably with an authorized dealership.
- Strong knowledge of denting, painting, accident repairs, and vehicle restoration.
- Experience handling insurance claims and coordination with surveyors.
- Good team-management and leadership skills.
- Strong customer-handling and communication skills.
- Knowledge of body-shop processes, repair estimates, and workshop management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple vehicles and repair jobs efficiently.
