Job Summary

The Legal Studies Teacher is responsible for teaching students the fundamental concepts of law, legal systems, constitutional principles, and related areas of legal studies. The teacher will create an engaging learning workplace, develop students’ analytical and critical-thinking skills, and prepare them for academic examinations and further studies in law.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Legal Studies lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
- Teach topics such as constitutional law, the Indian legal system, fundamental rights and duties, judiciary, contracts, civil and criminal law, and other relevant areas.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, assignments, case studies, quizzes, and examination materials.
- Explain legal concepts and landmark cases in a clear and student-friendly manner.
- Encourage students to develop legal reasoning, research, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Conduct classroom discussions, debates, mock trials,



case analyses, and other practical learning activities.
- Assess students through tests, assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations.
- Monitor students’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback and additional support where required.
- Keep teaching materials and subject knowledge updated in accordance with changes in laws, curriculum, and educational requirements.
- Maintain accurate academic records and participate in parent-teacher meetings and departmental activities.
- Collaborate with other teachers and academic staff to support students’ overall development.
