Job Description: Supply Chain Manager

Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations, including raw material procurement, vendor management, inventory control, warehouse management, and distribution logistics. This role ensures uninterrupted supply of non-woven fabrics, fluff pulp, SAP, film, and packaging materials to support continuous manufacturing while optimizing COGS, working capital, and storage space.
Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Procurement & Sourcing
- Source high-quality raw materials (Non-Woven Fabric, SAP, Fluff Pulp, PE Film, Release Paper, Hot Melt Adhesives, Packaging Boxes/Pouches) at competitive rates.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable local and international suppliers while building a strong secondary vendor network.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, payment schedules, and SLAs with vendors to minimize COGS.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance audits (quality, delivery lead time, price compliance).
2. Production Planning & Inventory Control
- Lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP;) in coordination with Sales, Production, and Finance teams.
- Establish and monitor safety stock levels, reorder points, and minimum/maximum stock limits for all raw materials and finished goods.
- Manage raw material inward/outward schedules to prevent machine downtime or stockouts.
- Control inventory holding costs, material shrinkage, damage, and slow-moving or obsolete stock.
3. Warehouse & Logistics Management
- Oversee raw material (RM) and finished goods (FG) warehouse operations following strict hygienic and dust-free storage standards.
- Maintain clean warehouse practices (5S,
FIFO/FEFO) to ensure product hygiene and lot traceability.
- Coordinate with transporters, 3PL partners, and freight forwarders for timely primary and secondary dispatches.
- Ensure full statutory compliance with GST, e-Way Bills, Purchase Orders (PO), and dispatch documentations.
4. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization
- Analyze supply chain bottlenecks and implement Lean / Kaizen practices to improve operational throughput.
- Monitor key SCM metrics including On-Time In-Full (OTIF), Turnaround Time (TAT), inventory accuracy, and logistics costs.
- Ensure full accuracy of data entry within ERP/SAP or existing tracking systems.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Stockout Reduction: Zero production stops due to raw material unavailability.
- Inventory Accuracy: >98% accuracy on physical vs. ERP stock audits.
- OTIF Rate: Maintain >95% On-Time In-Full delivery rate for finished goods dispatches.
- Cost Reduction: Annual savings in logistics and raw material procurement.
- Supplier Performance: >90% compliance on lead times and quality specs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Engineering (MBA in Operations/SCM preferred).
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics within FMCG, Personal Care, Hygiene Products, or Manufacturing sectors.
- Technical Skills:
- Solid working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Tally, or custom ERP).
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Analysis) and documentation.
- Deep understanding of statutory GST, e-Way bills, BOM (Bill of Materials), and transport laws.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
