Job Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the branch and laboratory.
- Ensure smooth and timely completion of diamond/gemstone certification work.
- Coordinate with diamond graders, QC staff, back-office staff, and other branch employees.
- Monitor the receiving, checking, grading, certification, and dispatch processes.
- Ensure that all items are properly tagged, recorded, and handled safely.
- Monitor the accuracy and quality of certification-related work and report any discrepancies to management.
- Maintain proper records of received and completed jobs.
- Coordinate with Head Office regarding branch activities, reports, requirements, and pending work.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, leave, and overall discipline at the branch.
- Allocate daily work to staff and monitor work progress.
- Ensure that laboratory equipment, documents, stationery, and other branch requirements are properly maintained.
- Handle customer coordination and resolve routine operational queries professionally.
- Ensure proper security and secure handling of customer jewellery, diamonds, and gemstones.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly branch reports as required by management.
- Follow all company policies, laboratory procedures, quality standards,



and safety requirements.
- Escalate major operational, quality, customer, or employee-related issues to management promptly.
- Support management in achieving branch targets and maintaining efficient branch operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience in a diamond/gemstone laboratory, jewellery industry, or related field preferred.
- Good knowledge of diamond grading and certification processes will be an advantage.
- Good communication and team coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and computer applications.
- Ability to supervise a team and manage daily branch operations.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Responsible and detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple activities.
