Procurement Manager-Pharmacy Products

Job Overview:

The role will be responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement of medical, pharmacy and laboratory supplies. The role requires a deep understanding of the medical industry, supplier management, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The successful candidate will ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services, manage relationships with vendors, and contribute to cost control and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Management:

o Oversee the procurement of pharmaceuticals, consumables, clinical supplies in accordance with company policies.

o Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers and vendors.

o Develop and maintain a list of approved vendors and ensure suppliers meet quality standards.

• Supplier Relationship Management:

o Establish and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers and service providers.

o Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and resolve any disputes or issues with suppliers.

• Inventory Control:





o Monitor stock levels and ensure that procurement is aligned with demand, avoiding both shortages and overstocking.

o Ensure that medical and clinical products meet regulatory and safety standards.

• Compliance & Documentation:

o Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, industry standards, and internal procurement policies.

o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and vendor communications.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is mandatory.

• Experience:

oof 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement with healthcare companies or pharmacy chains is required.

o Robust understanding of medical procurement, including pharmaceuticals, and consumables is needed.

o Experience negotiating contracts with healthcare suppliers.
