Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for achieving sales targets and driving market growth within a designated territory for Becton Dickinson India. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and leading a team of sales professionals to ensure optimal performance and market penetration of BD's medical technology products.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas and objectives for the territory.
Manage and lead a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure individual and team success.
Identify and develop recent business opportunities within the assigned area, including market mapping, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
Build and maintain robust, long-lasting customer relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and hospital administration.
Conduct regular market visits to understand customer needs, identify challenges, and provide appropriate solutions and product demonstrations.
Collaborate with marketing, product management, and other internal stakeholders to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for management.
