About the position
The Fire Protection Engineer is part of the Project Designs Engineering team within the Chevron ENGINE Center. This role provides fire protection expert consultation and services to the operating asset and capital projects across Chevron with the objective of decreasing the risk of process related incidents across the Enterprise. Key services include capital project support, facility audits, incident investigation, hazards analyses and training.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
Key responsibilities
Performing active and passive fire protection system design engineering, hydraulic calculations and transient analysis, fire and gas 3D mapping, fire and gas instrumentation, fire system testing
