AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
This is the right role for someone who has experience working for or with an IT Services (ITS) and/or Global Systems Integrator (GSI) technology consulting firm, or a Fortune 1000 company. If you are a leader who has managed a team of Solution Architects and are a problem solver with broad technical skills, got hands-on experience working in a public cloud setting, and have the ability to drive technical conversations then this is the perfect role for you.
Key job responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership
Lead critical customer engagements including cloud adoption and migration programs, and complex technical challenges with high-stakes outcomes
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior business and technical leaders,
operating at a strategic level and creating prospects for your team to act as trusted advisors
Apply deep technical understanding across multiple domains to invent, evolve, and simplify solutions that drive customer success
Team Leadership & Development
Coach and develop a team of experienced Solutions Architects to elevate their technical capabilities and strategic advisory abilities
Build a high-performing team through effective hiring, onboarding, and continuous skill development
Foster a culture of technical excellence and customer obsession
Maintain a high bar for operational excellence; define and maintain appropriate cadences for inspecting the business in your area
