A Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in History is primarily responsible for educating senior secondary students (Classes 11 and 12) on world and Indian history while preparing them for board examinations.

Responsibilities

- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging history lessons aligned with board guidelines like the CBSE Curriculum.
- Lesson Planning: Create comprehensive daily, weekly, and annual teaching plans.
- Critical Thinking: Foster analytical skills, source-based evaluation, and deep contextual understanding of historical events rather than rote memorization.
- Digital Integration: Use audio-visual aids, maps, and interactive tools to bring historical movements to life.

Assessment and Evaluation

- Designing Assessments: Create well-balanced question papers, assignments, projects, and term exams.
- Grading and Tracking: Maintain accurate performance records and grade papers consistently.
- Board Prep:



Focus targeted revision and extra coaching toward achieving top results in senior secondary board exams.
- Student Support: Provide remedial or extra support to struggling students and enrichment tasks to advanced learners.

Administrative and Collaborative Duties

- Parent Communication: Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and share periodic progress updates regarding student performance.
- Co-curricular Engagement: Organize history-related events, guest lectures, or educational field trips.
- Professional Growth: Participate in faculty meetings, academic reviews, and professional development workshops.

Candidate should be at least 3 years experienced.
