Job Description:

A Liaison Manager for a steel company bridges communication between the organization and external stakeholders—such as government bodies, regulatory authorities, and the community. Their primary goal is to secure necessary operational permits, ensure statutory compliance, and facilitate smooth plant operations or expansion projects. [1, 2]

Core Responsibilities
Government & Regulatory Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for district authorities, municipal corporations, and state/central government agencies. [1, 2]
Permits & Clearances: Coordinate the acquisition and timely renewal of critical licenses, such as mining permits, forest clearances, and State Pollution Control Board (Consent to Establish/Operate) certificates. [1]
Land & Power Liaisoning: Facilitate end-to-end land acquisition processes (including land-use conversion) and coordinate with state electricity boards for power load sanctions. [1, 2]
Compliance Management: Ensure company operations strictly adhere to environmental, mining, labor, and safety regulations. [1, 2, 3]

Key Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Relations, Law, or Engineering. An MBA is typically preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of relevant liaisoning or public relations experience, specifically within the mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry sectors.
Skilled Network: A pre-existing, robust network with local and regional government officials.
