Job Description:

A Turbine DCS job involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining the Distributed Control System (DCS) that manages power plant turbines to ensure secure and effective operation. Key responsibilities include monitoring and adjusting turbine parameters like speed, pressure, and temperature, performing startup and shutdown procedures, troubleshooting malfunctions, and coordinating with other plant personnel. This role requires technical knowledge of turbine systems and DCS platforms, and strong problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities
DCS Operation and Monitoring: Operate the DCS to monitor and control the turbine, including its speed, pressure, temperature, and load.
Parameter Adjustment: Regulate equipment based on instrument data and plant requirements, making adjustments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Procedure Execution: Perform and manage critical processes such as turbine startup, synchronization, load variation, and shutdown according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Alarm and Event Management: Respond promptly to alarms,



trips, or abnormal conditions, and take corrective actions to maintain secure operations.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on the turbine and its auxiliary systems. Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
Data Recording: Maintain accurate records of operational data, shift reports, and event logs.
Coordination and Communication: Coordinate operations with other teams, such as the boiler and electrical departments, and communicate with other control room and field personnel.

Required skills and qualifications
Education: Typically requires a degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience: Several years of experience in DCS-based turbine operations is often required.
