Job Description:

A Technical Services Engineer (Bearings) or Technical Support Specialist in the bearings industry provides engineering expertise to customers, sales teams, and maintenance staff to ensure optimal performance, selection, and maintenance of bearing products. This role combines technical knowledge of rotating equipment, tribology, and mechanical engineering to solve, troubleshoot, and optimize bearing applications.

Job Responsibilities
Technical Support & Consulting: Act as the primary technical contact for customers, analyzing operational conditions to propose optimal bearing specifications.
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Diagnose bearing failures, analyze, and troubleshoot issues related to bearing damage or premature failure in machinery.
Application Engineering: Assist customers with bearing selection, calculation (load, speed, life), and design validation (using software or manual calculations).
Product Development Support: Collaborate with R&D; teams on designing recent bearing types (e.g., for high-speed or specific industrial applications).




Field Support & Service: Perform in office inspections, installation guidance, and lubrication audits to improve maintenance practices.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, failure analysis documents, lubrication charts, and technical manuals.
Training & Education: Provide training to customers and internal sales staff on bearing technology, application, and maintenance.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related fields.
Experience: 3–8+ years of experience in bearing design, application engineering, or maintenance of rotating equipment (pumps, gearboxes).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, UG NX), bearing analysis tools (e.g., vibration monitoring), and understanding of metallurgy.
