Senior Consultant - Engineering & Electrotech

The role
Act as the engineering and electro-technical lead linking Newbuild & Novel Technology Support with relevant pre-contract and post-contract services, ensuring a fully integrated "One LR Service" offering to owners, charterers, shipyards and designers worldwide.




Provide marine engineering and electro-technical expertise to support recent build projects across all phases, from concept design through construction, commissioning and delivery.
Support shipowners, charterers, designers and shipyards by:
Reviewing and advising on technical specifications, drawings and system designs
Undertaking owner's plan approval activities
Advising on statutory, Class and regulatory compliance requirements, including emerging and novel technologies

Perform complex technical assessments and deliver specialist advisory services covering,
Engineering design integrity
Electrical power generation, distribution, automation and control systems
Budgetary, contractual and technical risk considerations

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and forthcoming international regulations, Class Rules and industry standards applicable to,
Marine engineering systems
