We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Deck Cadet to join our team. As a Deck Cadet, you will be involved in various seaman and mariner activities, gaining hands-on experience in the maritime industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations on deck, including maintenance and safety checks.
- Participate in training programs to enhance your knowledge of maritime regulations and safety protocols, including STCW standards.
- Support the crew in navigation and watchkeeping duties under the supervision of experienced officers.
- Engage in various tasks related to the operation of the vessel, including handling ropes, lines, and other equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deck and related areas.
Required Skills:
- Basic understanding of seaman and mariner activities.
- Familiarity with ETO (Electro-Technical Officer) responsibilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) regulations.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from senior crew members.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
