Job Description:

- We are looking for a Word Press Developer with 2+ years of professional experience to join our team on a contract basis. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing Word Press websites with a strong focus on Word Press development, SEO, website performance, responsive design, troubleshooting, and content publishing.
- The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with an existing Word Press codebase, understanding business requirements, independently resolving technical issues, and delivering reliable solutions without impacting existing website functionality.

Responsibilities:
Word Press Development:

- Develop, customize, and maintain Word Press websites based on business requirements.
- Customize Word Press themes, templ About ates, plugins, widgets, and website components.
- Build and manage pages using Gutenberg and Elementor.
- Develop custom functionality using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and Java Script.
- Work with Word Press Actions, Filters, Hooks, and Template Hierarchy.
- Implement and maintain Custom Post Types and Custom Taxonomies where required.
- Work with the Word Press REST API and third-party API integrations.
- Manage Word Press pages, posts, categories, tags, menus, media, and other CMS functionality.
- Ensure websites are responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

SEO & Content Optimization:

- Implement and maintain on-page and technical SEO requirements within Word Press.
- Optimize SEO titles, meta descriptions, focus keyphrases, URLs, and heading structures.
- Implement and maintain canonical URLs, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, internal linking, image alt text, Open Graph metadata, and structured data/schema.
- Support SEO-friendly content publishing and website updates.
- Identify and troubleshoot common crawling, indexing, and technical SEO issues.

Website Performance:





- Analyze and improve Word Press website performance.
- Identify and resolve page-load and performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize websites for Core Web Vitals.
- Improve caching, image optimization, and frontend asset delivery.
- Investigate database and query-related performance issues.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

- Troubleshoot Word Press core, theme, plugin, PHP, Java Script, CSS, and frontend issues.
- Investigate issues and identify the root cause before implementing a fix.
- Resolve plugin conflicts and compatibility issues.
- Perform Word Press core, theme, and plugin updates safely.
- Troubleshoot 404 errors, broken links, redirects, layout issues, and other website problems.
- Support website backups, migrations, staging, and production maintenance.
- Monitor website functionality and proactively identify potential issues.

Required Skills:

- 2+ years of qualified Word Press development experience.
- Strong understanding of Word Press CMS, theme and plugin customization, and custom Word Press development.
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, Java Script, basic jQuery, MySQL, JSON, and REST APIs.
- Experience with Gutenberg, Elementor, Word Press Template Hierarchy, Custom Post Types, and Custom Taxonomies.
- Knowledge of on-page and technical SEO, including AIOSEO, Yoast SEO, or Rank Math.
- Understanding of Core Web Vitals, Page Speed optimization, caching, image optimization, lazy loading, CDN concepts, and database/query optimization.
- Experience with cPanel, Word Press hosting environments such as Hostinger, domain/DNS fundamentals, SSL, FTP/SFTP, website migration, backup and restore, and staging/production environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues systematically, identify root causes, and make production changes carefully.
- Good to have: custom Word Press plugin/theme development, advanced REST API integrations, Google Analytics/GA4, Cloudflare, CDN configuration, and Word Press security/malware troubleshooting.
