Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server DBA activities.
Expertise in SQL Server performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Solid knowledge of Always On Availability Groups, HA/DR, backup and recovery.
Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
Experience with SQL Server migration to Azure and hybrid database environments.
Good knowledge of T-SQL, indexing, execution plans, blocking, deadlocks, and query optimization.
Experience with PowerShell and/or Azure CLI for database administration and automation.
Strong production support, incident management, and RCA experience.
Knowledge of database security, permissions, monitoring, and auditing.
Positive communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Azure Database Migration Service (DMS).
Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Automation.
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD practices.
Experience with database monitoring and automation tools.
Exposure to Microsoft Fabric / up-to-date data platform technologies is an advantage.
