Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, administer, and maintain Linux servers in enterprise environments.
Manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and/or other Linux distributions.
Perform OS installation, upgrades, patching, and security remediation.
Handle user and group administration, permissions, sudo access, and file-system management.
Monitor server health, CPU, memory, disk utilization, and overall system performance.
Troubleshoot Linux OS, application, storage, network connectivity, and performance issues.
Manage LVM, file systems, disk partitions, mounts, and storage capacity.
Configure and troubleshoot Linux services, processes, and scheduled jobs.
Work with SSH, DNS, NFS, TCP/IP, and other Linux/networking services.
Perform server builds, configuration changes,
and decommissioning activities.
Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
Perform log analysis and root cause analysis for critical incidents.
Create and maintain Shell/Bash scripts for routine administration and automation.
Work closely with application, database, network, storage, VMware, and security teams.
Handle incidents, service requests, problem management, and change activities.
Provide support for production Linux settings and participate in 24x7/on-call support as required.
Maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
