n1. Key Responsibilities

Study premium Italian/European metal fittings and reinterpret their design cues (proportion, silhouette, finish) in polymer. N
Create concept sketches, CAD models and renders for recent fitting ranges, balanced against moulding/tooling constraints. N
Work with NPD, R&D; and tooling teams from concept through prototype to production. N
Build and maintain a design language/style guide so the premium range stays visually consistent. N
Build prototypes/mock-ups to validate form and finish, and track global design and finishing trends. N

n2. Academic Background
N
n
B.Des/M.Des in Product or Industrial Design (NID, IIT-IDC, Srishti, Pearl Academy, MIT-ID or equivalent), or a B.E./B.Tech with a solid design/CAD portfolio. N
CMF (colour, material, finish) coursework and prior exposure to sanitaryware,



furniture or consumer-durable design are a plus. N
A solid design portfolio matters more than the specific degree. N

n3. Experience Required
N
n
3–8 years designing bath fittings, sanitaryware, consumer durables, furniture or lighting, where finish and premium feel drive the sale. N
Hands-on experience taking a design from concept sketch to tooled, manufactured product. N
Prior exposure to injection-moulded plastics or polymer product design is strongly preferred. N
Experience referencing or benchmarking premium international design and adapting it for Indian manufacturing and price points. N
Exceptional portfolios with 1–3 years‘ experience may be considered for a junior/associate designer level. N
