nRole Summary
NWe are looking for a Design & Development Engineer with solid upholstery experience to join our Furniture Design & Engineering team in Hosur.
NThe role will focus on developing upholstered furniture products from concept to production, combining design thinking, engineering fundamentals and hands-on knowledge of upholstery construction, materials and manufacturing processes.
NThe ideal candidate should understand how upholstered furniture is designed, engineered, prototyped and mass-manufactured, while working closely with manufacturing, sourcing, quality and other cross-functional teams.

nKeyResponsibilities
NProduct Design & Development

Develop upholstered furniture products from concept to production. N
Create and refine product designs considering functionality,
comfort, aesthetics, durability and manufacturability. N
Develop 3D models, assemblies and detailed drawings using SolidWorks. N
Translate design concepts into production-ready engineering solutions. N
nUpholsteryEngineering

Robust understanding of upholstery construction, foam, fabric/leather, webbing, stitching, frames and cushioning systems. N
Develop upholstery specifications, construction details and manufacturing methods. N
Work on sofas, chairs, beds and other upholstered furniture. N
Optimize designs for comfort, durability, material utilization and ease of manufacturing. N
Troubleshoot design andproduction issues related to upholstery construction. N
nPrototyping & Production

Work closely withprototype teams to develop and validate current products. N
