Sales and Business Development:
To generate and grow revenue by building long-term, trust-based relationships with factory Purchase Managers, ensuring the firm becomes a preferred/approved vendor for electrical and hardware goods across the client's ongoing and future procurement needs.
A. Current Business Development
• Identify potential factories/industrial units in the target region (industrial belts, MIDC/industrial estates, manufacturing clusters) that could be prospects
• Map the factory's procurement structure — who is the Purchase Manager, who influences decisions (plant head, maintenance head, stores in-charge)
• Cold visits/calls to introduce the firm, product range, and get enlisted as an "approved vendor"
• Get the firm added to the factory's vendor panel/approved supplier list (critical in B2B — many factories only buy from listed vendors)
• Convert enquiries into first orders — often starting with small trial orders to prove reliability

B. Relationship Management with Purchase Managers (the heart of this role)




• Regular in-person visits to factories — not just transactional, but relationship-building (this is a relationship-led sales model, not just order-taking)
• Understand the Purchase Manager's pain points: urgent/emergency requirements, quality consistency, delivery timelines, credit terms
• Be the "go-to person" when the factory has an urgent electrical/hardware requirement (quick response = loyalty)
• Attend to informal relationship touchpoints — festival greetings, remembering preferences, being available on call
• Build relationships not just with the Purchase Manager but also with Stores In-charge, Maintenance Engineer, and Plant Head (multiple stakeholders influence repeat orders)

C. Order Management & Coordination
• Take purchase orders / requirements from the client
• Coordinate with internal teams (inventory, logistics, accounts) to ensure timely delivery
• Follow up on delivery status and proactively update the client (avoids the client hav
