We are looking for a detail-oriented GST Executive to manage our day-to-day indirect tax compliance. In this role, you will handle basic GST filings, data reconciliation, and documentation. The ideal candidate should have 1–2 years of hands-on experience, a robust grasp of accounting principles, and proficiency in Excel.
Key Responsibilities
GST Filing & Compliance
• Prepare and file periodic GST returns including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
• Assist in preparing data for annual returns (GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C).
• Generate and manage E-way bills and E-invoices on government portals.
Data Reconciliation
• Perform monthly GSTR-2B and GSTR-2A reconciliations with purchase registers.
• Identify discrepancies between vendor data and books, and follow up with vendors for missing invoices.
• Reconcile GST ledger balances in accounting software with the GST portal electronic ledgers.
Documentation & Bookkeeping
• Maintain accurate,
systematic digital and physical records of all tax invoices and returns.
• Ensure correct application of Input Tax Credit (ITC) as per CGST/SGST/IGST rules.
• Support senior accounts team members with data extraction during GST audits or assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), M.Com, or a related financial discipline.
• 1 to 2 years of direct experience handling basic GST compliance.
Technical Skills
• Hands-on experience working directly on the Government GST Portal.
• Command over Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
Soft Skills
• Robust attention to numerical detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet strict government compliance deadlines.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and vendors.
