Job Purpose

The Lead CAD Design Engineer will be responsible for leading the CAD design function for electrical, automation, substation, and condition-based monitoring projects. The role involves overseeing the preparation and review of engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards, mentoring a team of CAD Engineers, and driving timely project execution while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership
Lead the CAD design team in preparing and reviewing engineering drawings using AutoCAD and related design tools.
Develop and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, Control Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, Panel Layouts, Cable Schedules,



Termination Drawings, Interconnection Drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
Ensure all engineering drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.
Review technical deliverables before submission to ensure accuracy and quality.

Project Execution
Plan and allocate design activities across multiple projects while ensuring adherence to project schedules.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Procurement, Manufacturing, Commissioning, and Site Engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
Monitor drawing progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to meet project timelines.
Support project execution through technical documentation, material take-offs, procurement support, and commissioning assistance.

Team Leadership & People Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of CAD Engineers.
Allocate work based on project prio
