About the Role

The Principal Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining, upholding, and communicating the Business and Information Technology Architecture that supports the Bank's vision and strategic intent. This role also provides enterprise architecture services for current initiatives and ensures alignment with the overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Define and obtain approval for architecture insights, vision, and strategy ensuring alignment with business, data, and technology architecture strategy.
• Provide oversight to ensure current state Enterprise Architectures are well defined and domain-specific architectures align with enterprise-level strategy and direction.
• Propose current architecture where appropriate.
• Create architecture roadmaps at the product portfolio level, collaborating with executives to translate business strategy and technology objectives into an Enterprise Architectural approach.




• Work across operational asset owners to improve mapping/linkage of the bank’s operational assets to technology architecture to deliver improved insight.
• Review project deliverables from project technical leads and IT teams to ensure they meet data standards.
• Provide guidance and training to project team members to impart knowledge and skills to support future growth.
• Provide input for departmental budget and forecasting, and manage expenses associated with initiatives within scope of responsibility.
• Provide critical decision support, guidance, and recommendations regarding data design deliverables to project teams supporting business solution delivery.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority in the given domain to guide all architects.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the team.
• Create an environment that promotes cooperative learning and collective ownership of responsibilities.
