Job Purpose

To design and develop BIW (Body in White) structural components using CATIA V5 and support automotive body structure development projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop BIW structural components using CATIA V5.

Create and modify 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings as per design requirements.

Work on automotive BIW/body structure, sheet metal and related components.

Perform design modifications based on engineering requirements and customer inputs.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Manufacturing, CAE, Tooling and Quality.

Ensure designs meet required quality, feasibility, dimensional and manufacturing standards.

Support design reviews, issue resolution and engineering change activities.





Maintain design data and documentation in Teamcenter/PLM systems.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience in CATIA V5.

Experience in BIW Structure Design / Automotive Body Design.

Knowledge of sheet metal design and automotive engineering.

Positive understanding of 3D modelling, assembly and 2D drafting.

Experience with Teamcenter / PLM is preferred.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification

BE / B. Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Production or related engineering discipline.

Candidate Profile

3–8 years of relevant experience in BIW / Automotive Design.

Candidates with experience in automotive OEMs or engineering service companies will be preferred.

Should be comfortable working in a project-based engineering environment.
