Responsibilities
Principal accountabilities & Scope

• Assume overall in office responsibility for ensuring that commissioning, startup and initial operations advisory services are fully executed.

• Review supplied equipment against the Schedule A Package, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, standard specifications and drawings; identify discrepancies and advise on corrective actions that protect startup readiness and unit performance.

• Direct the development and implementation of the precommissioning programme, including hydrostatic testing, water flushing, leak testing, pump and compressor run-in, refractory dryout, high-temperature field testing, inspection, catalyst loading and instrument loop checking.

• Advise on heater and reactor circuit dryout and on catalyst and/or adsorbent loading activities.

• Review and evaluate the startup schedule and recommend improvements to sequencing, readiness and execution.

• Provide operating instructions and technical direction to customer operations and engineering personnel for startup, normal operation,



shutdown and safe response to emergency situations.

• Advise customer engineers and operators during feed introduction, stabilization and the achievement of on-specification products.

• Issue daily instructions to shift-working Process Advisors in coordination with the customer's operations management team.

• Monitor initial operation, recommend adjustments to optimize unit performance and troubleshoot process or hydraulic issues.

• Establish process guidelines to line out the unit and prepare it for successful performance testing.

• Advise on performance gurantee test run and evaluate results against the process parameters represented during the design phase.

• Conduct or support detailed unit studies, including product-yield, catalyst activity and selectivity calculations, and process and hydraulic evaluations, etc.
