Job Title: Lab Instructor – Civil Engineering
Department: School of Civil Engineering
Qualification
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• M.Tech in Civil Engineering preferred for Lab Instructor positions.

Experience
• 1–5 years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering laboratories, testing, construction, or academic institutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist faculty in conducting laboratory practicals and demonstrations.
• Prepare laboratory equipment, materials, and instruments for experiments.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, stock registers, and records.
• Ensure laboratory safety, cleanliness, and compliance with institutional guidelines.
• Support student projects, research activities, and practical examinations.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, and procurement requirements.
• Maintain documentation required for NBA, NAAC, AICTE,



and departmental audits.

Desired Skills
• Knowledge of Civil Engineering laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil Engineering software.
• Valuable communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and technical staff.

Technical Skills
• Knowledge of Civil Engineering laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
• Familiarity with IS Codes and standard testing methods.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, ETABS, Revit, GIS, or equivalent software (desirable).
• Ability to maintain laboratory documentation and records.
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for laboratory equipment.
