The purpose of this role is to lead on design and test activities within BT International.
The purpose of the Network Engineering Specialist role is to deliver network designs for BT International network platforms and/or customer solutions. Specifically, this role is accountable for:
• Driving efficiency and scalability through the re-use of IP Internet/VPN network designs and ongoing in-life operation of designs across the overall BT International network platforms and/or customer solution.
• Typically leading a matrix (virtual) team of technical experts/contractors to deliver network design solutions and provide technical thought leadership to a larger matrix team.
The sphere of influence for the matrix team will be from a technical perspective.
• Acting as a technical ambassador for the company and providing expert technical consulting to customers at a platform and/or overall solution level.
• Deciding on design scope and design of the overall BT International network platforms and/or customer solution.
What You’ll Be Doing
The purpose of the Network Engineering Specialist engineer role is to lead the design of IP Internet/VPN technologies. Specifically, this role is accountable for:
• Design accountability for current features into T International’s network platforms.
• Provide thought leadership to senior internal stakeholders and customers regarding aspects of Global Reach platforms and/or customer solutions.
