About the role
Navtech is hiring a Performance Engineer to test, measure, and improve how applications run on CPU and GPU systems. You will work on bare-metal, virtual machine, and cluster setups, and find the software bottlenecks that slow things down. You will work closely with engineering teams and clients to fix them.
What you will do
• Benchmark and profile applications on CPU and GPU using tools like VTune and Linux Perf
• Study performance data, find bottlenecks, and suggest fixes
• Tune applications running on cluster and distributed setups
• Write monitoring and automation scripts in C, C++, and Python
• Use your knowledge of memory, storage, networking, virtualization, and Linux internals to improve performance
• Document benchmark results and findings for engineers and clients
Must have
• 2+ years of experience on bare-metal and virtual machine environments
• 2+ years of coding in C, C++, and Python
• Hands-on experience with VTune, Linux Perf, or similar profiling tools
• Working knowledge of server architecture, virtualization, and Linux internals
• Experience with cluster or distributed environments
• Good problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
Valuable to have
• Experience with HPC tools like Slurm and MPI
• Exposure to simulation tools (functional, cycle-accurate, timing) and profile-guided optimization
• Knowledge of CPU architecture concepts like cache and NUMA
