Role: AIX SME
Required Technical Skill Set: Knowledge on HACMP,NIM,VIO & Powervc
location: Pune, Chennai
Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have
(Ideally should not be more than 3-5)
• Install and configure AIX operating systems and servers.
• Support AIX OS to run various software applications.
• Maintain and upgrade the AIX OS.
• Install and test AIX OS patches.
• Develop procedures for AIX security and management.
• Working knowledge on Administration of LPARs/DLPARs, HMC, NIM Servers, VIO servers & Powervc
• Should have excellent knowledge and hands-on in IBM HACMP Clusters with trouble shooting.

Good-to-Have
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in AIX domain.
• Detect and troubleshoot system operational and functional issues.
• Plan and coordinate the installation, testing,



and maintenance of AIX systems software and related hardware.
• Good working knowledge on LPAR/DLPARs
• Good working knowledge on NIM & HMC
• Valuable working knowledge on VIO server & Powervc
• Good working knowledge on IBM HACMP clusters.
• Develop performance improvement initiatives for AIX system environment

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
1 An ability to lead the AIX operational team and drive the SLA/OLA concerned
2 Escalation of problems in a timely manner as per the defined escalation matrix.
3 Ability to communicate technical contents clearly and good on vendor co-
ordination.
