Trintech is an award-winning AI driven Fintech SaaS and we are looking for The Principal Software Test Engineer who will be responsible for designs, develops, and maintains scalable test automation frameworks and solutions for Web, API, and Thick Client applications, emphasizing reliability and efficiency within CI/CD environments. This individual drives automation excellence by advocating best practices, enhancing test coverage, and championing shift-left testing strategies. Collaborating closely with product, development, and DevOps teams, the Principal Software Test Engineer conducts performance testing, identifies system bottlenecks, and recommends optimizations. Additionally, this role provides technical mentorship, contributes to team capability-building, and continuously improves quality assurance processes and operational excellence.

What You Will Do

Automation & Engineering (Core IC Work – 50%)

• Help Develop and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for Web, API, and Thick Client applications.




• Build and enhance automation solutions to improve test coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.
• Ensure CI/CD readiness, enabling seamless integration of automated tests into pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement of automation assets.

Manual Testing (Core IC Work – 50%)

• Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test plans, test cases, and test suites for Web, API, and Thick Client applications.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and integration testing to ensure product quality and coverage.
• Collaborate with development and product teams on acceptance criteria, edge cases, and defect validation.
• Identify, document, and track defects with transparent reproduction steps and expected versus actual results.

Driving Automation Excellence

• Help drive adoption of automation frameworks and best practices across teams
