About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to lead and execute a mission-critical edge modernization initiative: migrating our enterprise CDN infrastructure from Akamai to AWS CloudFront.

In this role, you will be responsible for reverse-engineering complex, legacy Akamai configurations—including caching behaviors, security policies, and edge logic—and rebuilding them into scalable, high-performance AWS CloudFront architectures. You will work closely with engineering, security, and digital commerce teams to optimize traffic routing, streamline security with AWS WAF, and integrate edge routing for Salesforce environments.

Essential Technical Skills
• CDN Migration Expertise: Proven hands-on experience executing enterprise-grade CDN migrations, specifically moving workloads from Akamai to AWS CloudFront.
• AWS Edge Suite Proficiency: Deep technical knowledge of Amazon CloudFront,



Lambda@Edge, CloudFront Functions, AWS WAF, ACM, and Amazon Route 53.
• Akamai Mastery: Robust ability to inspect, understand, and extract configuration logic from Akamai Property Manager, Advanced Metadata, and EdgeWorkers.
• Salesforce CDN Integration: Practical experience configuring CDN edge layers in front of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) or Salesforce Experience Cloud.
• Infrastructure as Code: Advanced expertise with Terraform (preferred) or AWS CloudFormation for provisioning multi-environment edge setups.
• Network & Web Fundamentals: Solid understanding of HTTP/2 & HTTP/3, TLS handshake mechanics, CORS, header transformation, cookie forwarding, and DNS routing strategies.
